I was considering using Seturon for a project and bought the highest tier. The product description on Appsumo said we could use a custom domain, which is pretty standard. When I tried to do so, I received an email notifying me that they were experiencing bugs with the future and turning off this ability for everyone, and that if I wanted to enable it I could pay $40 a month.
Most of the features are fairly buggy, there is no real way to preview what your course will look like for the general public, beyond publishing and viewing in an incognito window. The output is pretty clean and they do seem to have a good variety of module pages, but I am going to be asking for a refund because of the previously mentioned behavior.
Seturon's idea is very interesting and makes the purchase of this product very appealing.
The look and feel achieved for the courses is really fantastic and the modularity it offers as well. It would be a pleasure to be able to continue using this software; however, I have some cons:
- It does not support SCORM files. It is very tedious to have to recreate the courses on this platform because of the time and effort involved, especially if there are several of them. I sincerely believe that Seturon should consider implementing this possibility.
- It does not support CNAME when this is essential for many companies. I have consulted their support department and they talk about $30/month for this possibility. I consider it totally excessive and out of line.
- The company lacks a roadmap (which they must be developing as they go along) as there are insistent questions on this subject, which gives the impression that it is a company in an immature state of development and is not properly consolidated. This is confirmed by the example courses they offer which give the impression of having been very poorly developed.
- The functionality of the AI is not at all clear and this also gives the impression of a software that is in an early stage, even if it looks great.
- Finally, using external services to host the videos is a crutch that could be offered by increasing the available hosting space and is a frequent request in the questions asked.
Well, these are some of the points I wanted to make. It would be good if the company that is developing Seturon would be sensitive to these requests since it is a very promising software but it creates some discomfort among potential buyers by not incorporating options that, in my opinion, should be included from the beginning.

SCORM Support – At the moment, we do not support SCORM or Moodle file imports due to technical reasons. However, we are actively listening to user requests, and we plan to explore adding support for these formats in the future.
This is a super easy, intuitive and beautiful piece of work. I also love the unlimited plan as I have another solution now where I get hasseled by the vendor to constantly pay them more for each seat.
This deal for this price, I believe, will probably be the best LMS avalible ever at APPSumo.
Sure I want some minor nice to haves as more languanges, AI, import features and so on but I bet that once this company has proper funding it will be market leading.
Stripe integration was super simple, and this is really a 10/10 product. If you ever think you might need to build a course in the future, you should scure this great piece of LMS now.
